Peach Cobbler

Today is Will’s birthday and every year his request is peach cobbler instead of cake. I always struggle finding the best ripe peaches at this time so I make it with frozen peaches. It is just as good and oh-so buttery.

To make it even more heavenly, put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top while it’s warm.

Here is how I cook it.

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and melt a stick and a half of butter in a 9×13 casserole dish. (This is my favorite dish to bake cobbler in.)  When melted, take it out of the oven.

In a bowl whisk together flour, sugar, a pinch of salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and milk until it is a smooth consistency.

Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter.

In a separate bowl, mix together the thawed peaches and brown sugar.

Place the peaches over the batter in one single layer.

Bake in the oven for about 1 hour or until golden brown.

My house smelled so good today!
