Banana Dump Cake

I had some ripe bananas sitting on my counter and I decided to bake something different than my usual banana nut muffins. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you banana dump cake. It absolutely, no questions asked, must be served with either Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream.

Start with mashed bananas.

Add some milk to the 2 cup line.

Pour banana mix in a greased casserole dish. Add a heaping 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips on top.

Next comes the cake mix. Sprinkle it evenly on top. DO NOT MIX.

Top with 1 1/2 sticks butter sliced and spread evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Banana Dump Cake

4 ripe bananas

1/2 cup whole milk

1/2 cup (or more if you like) white chocolate chips

1 box yellow cake mix

1 1/2 sticks salted butter, sliced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mash bananas in a Pyrex measuring cup. My bananas leveled out to 1 1/2 cups. Add 1/2 cup milk to the banana mixture.
Pour banana mix into a greased 9×13 casserole dish.
Top with white chocolate chips.
Sprinkle cake mix on top. DO NOT MIX.
Top with pats of butter.
Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream.
