Broccoli Rice Casserole

My Grandmama’s recipe for broccoli rice casserole is to die for. It’s simple to make and is the perfect side dish for bbq, ham, fried chicken, basically anything.

Broccoli Rice Casserole 

1 cup rice (cooked according to directions)

4 tbsp butter

1/2 cup onion, chopped 

1/2 cup celery, chopped 

2 (12 oz) bags frozen broccoli , steamed

1 can cream of mushroom

1 (15oz) jar Cheez whiz

Cook rice and set aside.

Cook onion and celery in butter in a skillet. Put in a mixing bowl. 

Add broccoli, soup, cheese to the bowl with the veggies. Mix. Stir in rice.

Pour in greased 2 qt casserole dish.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.
