Honey Butter Beer Bread

I’ve been making beer bread since I was learning to cook in college. It is so easy to make and requires little to no effort.

It only requires a few ingredients and it makes your house smell DIVINE while it’s baking.

The honey butter you pour on top really elevates this bread to a new level of YUM.

Hope you all get a chance to make it!

Perfection.

Seriously can’t get enough of this stuff.

Honey Butter Beer Bread

3 cups self rising flour

1/3 cup sugar

12 oz. beer

1/2 stick salted butter

1 heaping tbsp. honey

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine flour and sugar. Pour in beer and mix with a wooden spoon.

Pour dough into a greased loaf pan.

Bake for 30 minutes.

While bread is baking, melt butter and honey in a bowl in the microwave. Whisk well.

After the bread has baked for 30 minutes, baste the butter on top of the bread.

Place bread back in the oven for 15 minutes.

Slice and serve while warm.

  1. Just made this for the first time. I didn’t have any “normal” beer so I had to use a Gleason IPA. This came out really well!

  2. After making this bread with a dark stout, I would suggest omitting the honey butter on to. Just tastes a little weird with the underlying stout taste. Otherwise, excellent with just butter!
