Spinach Bread


My mom has been cooking this spinach bread for years. She got the recipe at a dinner party and we’ve been eating it since. It’s the perfect addition to any meal and sure to impress anyone you serve it to!

Spinach Bread 

1 loaf French bread

1 box frozen chopped spinach

1 stick butter

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 green bell pepper, finely chopped

1 cloves garlic, minced

4 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded

4 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup parsley, chopped

Salt, pepper, Tabasco to taste

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook spinach according to directions, drain very well.
Sauté onion, garlic, bell pepper in butter until tender.
Add shredded cheese and melt.
Stir in spinach, parsley, and Tabasco/seasonings.
Mix well and spread on French bread that has been sliced in half.
Wrap bread halves in foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Slice and serve.
