Deer Sausage Pizza

Every year as hunting season approaches I start to panic. I have to eat all this deer before he shoots another one! We usually cook the deer sausage on the grill but one of our favorite ways to eat it is on this pizza…with pepper jelly.

Call me the pepper jelly queen. I’ll put it on anything.

Here is how I make the pizza.

Squeeze the sausage out the casing and brown it. Drain any fat.

Lightly spread pepper jelly on pizza dough. Not too much!!!

Top with deer sausage.

Then mozzarella cheese.

Top with green onions.
Slice and serve!


Deer Sausage Pizza

pizza dough

pepper jelly (not too much or it’ll be sloppy)

1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese

2 green onions, chopped

Squeeze sausage out the casing and brown in a skillet. Drain fat.
Spread a few spoonfuls of pepper jelly on pizza dough. Top with sausage then cheese.
Bake at 400 degrees until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted (my oven about 18 minutes).
Top with green onions.

  1. Made this tonight and wow, it is amazing!! It was a hit with all of my kids, my husband, my neighbor, my friend and her daughter haha! I had to share the love with everyone and it’s definitely going on my “go to” recipes!!!
